L’olandese Max Verstappen, al volante di una Red Bull, ha ottenuto il miglior tempo nelle qualifiche ufficiali del Gp degli Usa di F1, sul circuito di Austin, in Texas, girando in 1.32: 910.
Secondo miglior tempo per il suo grande rivale Lewis Hamilton, con la Mercedes, mentre l’altro pilota della Red Bull, il messicano Sergio Perez, ha ottenuto il terzo tempo.
Accanto a lui, partirà in seconda fila il ferrarista Charles Leclerc, che ha ottenuto il quinto tempo ma beneficia della penalizzazione inflitta al finlandese della Mercedes Valtteri Bottas.
